Feast is in a group of sims that boast vast vegetative beauty. This not to be missed sim, features some of the best flowers and plants in sl to enjoy in many settings.

Fields of fragrant wildflowers, cool bridges and nice water features though out the whole sim.

The fertile landscape is dotted with some charming cottages and greenhouses.

Even a great fantasy area with rainbows, fairy ring and magnificent glass orbs.

Have a seat and spend some time with good company watching the waves as the sun sets. Rose gardens, tree houses and even a nice deck overlooking a great view of the ocean. Too many fantastic things to list and show here. As many times as I have been here I discover something new anytime I come here. I hope you will check it out and enjoy it as much as I do.

Zaara

The Zarra Sim is home to Zaara Couture as well as some other great shops, but besides that it is beautifully done.

When you tp in by the front entrance of the Zaara Couture store you are welcomed by what I take to be a banyan tree, decorated with streamers. The banyan is the national tree of India, with strong and deep roots it serves to symbolize unity. It is said that married Hindu women will often worship this tree in hopes to lead a long and happy married life.

If you walk around a little you will come upon this street, that includes a barber shop and great open air market. Watch out for our bovine friends.Cows are very sacred to the Hindu and you will see them roaming about freely in some cities.

Another stunning work and my personal favorite feature of this sim is the Temple to Ganesh. Considered to be a God of prosperity, many look to him as a protector and remover of obstacles.

You will need to remove your shoes before entering. Once inside you will see all the wonderful offerings of sweets and incense. Everything he holds symbolizes something, such as the axe in his upper right hand. It symbolizes a dettachment of desires that can be obstructive,and also serves as a prod to push men to a path of righteousness and truth. You can read more about Ganesh here.

After spending some time exploring this exotic sim, swing by the Nasha Lounge right across from Zaara Couture. Nasha in Hindi means intoxication. This is the perfect place to sit and talk with friends or dance the night away to some Bollywood tunes. It is also available for parties and other functions.

Love Padlock Bridge

No one is really sure where the practice of lovers placing padlocks on a bridge and throwing away the key to signify their love originated but it is something that is taking place all over the world in rl. Now at the Love Padlock Bridge, there is a place in sl where you can share this experience with your love and share your story with the world.

Tradition states that lovers will put their initials, a special date or other info on the lock and place it on a bridge and then they throw the key into the water to show their eternal commitment to the unbreakable bond of love.

When you click the locks on this bridge you will learn about the love story that produced them. If you have found real love in sl and would like to share this experience with someone special, just touch the kiosk when you land and it will give you a note card with instructions on how to add your lock to the bridge.

Besides the bridge there is a nice little park area with plenty of sweet spots to spend time with good friends and lovers. Come and add your lock to the bridge, check out the other locks and explore this cool spot.

One night a dear friend of mine, Suzie, took me to this cool little coffee shop. I didn't know then what a jewel she had found and how much time I would come to spend here.

Cup of Goodness coffee house is the creation of Elisabeth Beurling, it has been in operation since 2006. After a brief closing in 2009 it was reopened in Sept 2010 to the delight of many. It is housed in this great building that looks like a refurbished mill or something. The building was originally custom made to house posters and artwork that Lis, used to sale. As a matter of fact much of the art and furnishings there are still for sale.

The building itself has 3 floors inside with many great places to curl up and clear your mind, have a deep meaningful talk or engage in great conversation with Lis and the other regulars here. The whole place is so warm and welcoming you will meet no strangers here. Prepare yourself for spontaneous dancing and merriment.

Besides the building there are some great outdoor spaces too. Step out the back onto the patio, maybe join everyone in some dancing or grab a seat for some quiet outdoor time looking over the water. Off to the side is also an area with a bonfire and more great places to chill out.

Cross the covered bridge that leads to the Annex, a venue here set up for live events. Live music, poetry readings and great discussions about food, wine and more. If you would like more info on events join the Cup of Goodness group in world or swing by and pick up info in the coffee house or annex.

Lis said that this coffee house was her favorite thing about second life because of the people that come there and the world view they give on current events. I can see why and now it is one of my favorite things about second life too. When you need some time to relax and enjoy some great conversation, head on over to the Cup of Goodness and pull up a seat. Let them know Margaux sent you. See you there sometime!!

Roche

I found, Roche, this great little spot through the showcase. I am not sure what I expected but something about this place feels like home. There are many sweet spots, activities and interesting details to explore here.

Starting off at this cool little park, take time to picnic with friends, catch a show at the little amphitheater or watch the sun go down swinging on this awesome tire swing. There are also free bikes here you can get to explore the sim with.

Following the trail around past the hot dog stand, I run into a friend on my way to the bakery.

Time for a little work. These pastries are not going to make themselves :P.

Taking a bike ride in the fresh air seeing all the sites of the country side.

Be sure to explore this cozy little farmhouse on top of the hill.

Get warm & cozy up for a long talk with a friend or quiet time to sort your thoughts

Besides the bikes to ride there is a little pond with boats available. There are new friends to be found at the park and next to the farmhouse. The whole place gives a warm familiar feeling, and evokes memories of a simpler time. This place is put together beautifully and the details that were used in setting this all up is amazing. If you are looking for a nice place to get away from it all this is it. Don't take my word for it see for yourself...

kekoa & rodazz surfin beyooootch, this awesome tropical paradise was introduced to me by fellow Fashionista Rene Caerndow. This place has it all when you are ready to unwind and spend some time at the beach with friends or also a good place to go when you want a little quiet time.

If you are in the mood to party there is a nice dance floor, dj booth, and bar. There is also a radio so that you set the mood with music. For those that like to live on the edge there is also Russian Roulette game.

If you just want to chill out or perhaps you are a beach bum then this little shack it just for you. It has fishing cool places to hang out and cuddle and even a bed if you are tired.

If you are good Felitia will read you a little story about quantum physics. This cat reads the book and turns the pages soo cute.

If you are ready to hang ten this is one of the best places to do it, with great waves, you can rez a windsurfer or bring your own board. Yours friends can sit and talk in this spot and check out your bitchn' surf moves. Enjoy a tropical drink or some other fave treats of the locals ;) .

For the ladies there is this special chill out area complete with all the girly decor and sweet pedicure rug, we gotta keep the hooves looking right with flip-flip weather upon us!!

As the day turns to night, gather around the warm of the campfire with friends and loved ones. The van has some nice options if you want to get a little closer to the one you are with.

Sitting on the water watching the colors dance on it at sunset and watching the moon rise to light the sky. What better way to end a day? There are boats you can rez and explore more. There are more great areas and things to do here. I didn't want to give it all away. So come on down for some surfing or just plain good company, and I might see you there... Thanks guys for sharing such a great place with all or us.

SICK

If you have not been here before this is one place that is not to be missed.This Japanese sim, that appears to be set in the Tokyo of the near future was made to be the set of a movie. This movie of the same name is a series of machinima.

In a brief synopsis of the first movie it would appear that a series of events culminate in someone turning into a huge cyborg spider looking thing after inhaling a strange gas that was released from a cannister when his brief case is knocked out of his hands by would be robbers on a mission. Then the S.I.C. agent and heroine of the city, a rather petite girl named Crimson has to spring into action and defeat the monster in grand style.

If you want to learn a little more about the sim and story you can check out the site and videos here Sick1 , Sick2 both of these are subtitled in English and then there is the trailer for Sick3 that is rumored to be coming out sometime in July 2010.

Sick spans over 3 sims , the first being Sick, consist of a dense urban landscape and vast city with many nooks and crannies that lends itself to RP and combat rather well. There are a few shops, different kinds of restaurants and other cool areas to the city including giant transformer and a bar that has a model of the transformer right inside.

If you look around and come to a platform with a rusted old carousel there are some binoculars like the kind in high places that people put change in to get a look. If you sit there you will get a little guided camera tour of the city. I have been there several times and I still do not think I have seen it all.

Then there is Sick2, this sim is the literal bridge to the 3rd sim, along with the bridge that spans the entire length of the sim there are some buildings that are industrial in nature and to me looks like some kind of plant, the big stacks with smoke billowing out into the air, have poked around a little here but was not there very long. As you walk across the bridge you start to get a glimpse of Sick5, the third and final sim.

Coming into Sick5 you can see that this was once a bustling city too, but something tragic has taken place here, looks like an earthquake hit the city, with old abandoned cars, buildings toppled, and the place in massive disarray cannot help but wonder how it got this way. Still many places to explore here and I even saw cute little studio apartments on this sim, many of them are deceiving of the situation just outside the door, well decorated with all the comforts of an area in much better shape. Lots of cool things to see and well worth the time just walking around there.

For the Creator Mr Curtiz this is merely a hobby, lets be glad that sl provides a medium for such great art that we all get to enjoy. What are you waiting for? Mxx

Pixel Dreams/T- Town

While looking for a place to shoot the Feathered Friends post on Freebie Fashionista, I came across T-Town on Pixel Dreams. T- Town is the creation of Tya Fallingbridge ( owner of Pixel Mode) . It is a loving tribute to many people and dear memories in her life. Mainly dedicated to the memory of her late father and the love of art and life he seemed to instill in her.

Beautiful wide open fields of wheat,

winding dirt roads, covered bridges,

fishing hole,

inspiration point,

and some other wonderful spots there, each with their own special meaning. I don't want to tell too much so that you can discover it for yourself, but if you are interested in knowing about all the special elements of this place and get it in the makers word,look for a sign next to a covered bridge that explains the inspiration to put together such an amazing place. I great place to make some special memories of your own. You can really feel the love that was put into this place....I hope you enjoy your time here as much as I did.

The Quiet: Further Away and Further Apart

I for one have been in awe of the great works of AM Radio from the first time I experienced the simple elegance and serenity of The Far Away. From what I understand it was the first of what would be many immersive interactive art installations across the grid. I have been lucky enough to experience a lot of his work, The Far Away, The Refuge and Expansion, The Space Between the Trees and The Red and The Wild, just to name a few. In the true nature of many things in sl , some of these works are no more or have been moved and/or integrated into new works. Currently the bulk of AM Radios installations are on display on the IDIA exhibition and installation sim for artists-in-residence hosted by the Institute for DIgital Intermedia Arts at Ball State University.

Upon landing you are offered a snow walk and also a compass, to help enhance your experience. Looking ahead you can see the frozen lake with violins strewn all about.

Looking to the south you see an old rowboat in the snow with some evergreen inside and a little piece of art tucked in.

Through the snow you get a glimpse of this warm little cottage that would appear to be the centerpiece of this work, small, simple and warm. You can see the warmth radiating from the windows, Inviting you to come inside

once inside you come down the hall and see this .. a little sink with a water tap and little note that reads .. What you send down that pipe will eventually come back and it's always more disgusting the second time you see it.

Moving in to the main part of the house you see a bed and a stove and some other nostalgic and ecclectic items decorating this space. Laying in the bed will give you what seems to me to be a bad dream

there is also a wood burning stove and a window with a great little spot to think about the complexities of life or anything else you have on your mind.

It is a great work and I have spent hours here, playing with light settings and just taking it all in .

As their inaugural artist-in-residence he has 4 works on display atm. This one The Quiet: Further Away and Further Apart has many components are are a hallmark of AM Radios work, an openness, a sense of calm and a warmth that draws you in and makes you want to know more. Also another thing I like about his exhibits are some unexpected and cool interactive pieces that are present and many of his works. Check out the violins on the ice , the tree outside in front of the house and the bed inside.

I will be visiting his other installments and there will be more to come about AM Radio and is awesome places in world ..

Lollygagger Lane

From the first time I got to Lollygagger Lane I got a warm welcome from Marvin Shackleton the manager of the Maple Motel. Also on the welcoming committee, Former SLPD Officer Nicky P. the pig and Lady Pertelote the chicken, roaming free in the filthy streets to welcome all that come here. The people seemed friendly enough so I decided to have a look around.

I found a 7 Seas fishing hole and decided to rest my weary mind in the rocking chair then a little Zyngo, in my quest for riches on one trip to this amazingly detailed build that spans over 3 sims. There are many attractions and features to this one of a kind place. There is a Brothel if you want to give into your carnal desires and can get the comlimentary crabs that are available.Don't get caught or you could end up on the wall of shame behind there. Be sure to say Hi to Bertha while you are there. All men love Bertha!! Lot of fun surprises be sure to look everywhere.

If that is not your thing there is a VooDoo Shack where you can find out your fate or take it into your own hands. Also the Maple Motel and a gallery with some rl pics of places that inspired this build. When you tp in there is a living room area where you can hang out, play tunes on the you tube television there and also there are a couple of freebies you can pick up. Cool milk crate to sit on and also a lamp. When there is no Dj on duty enjoy the relaxing reggae stream that they have there.

There is also plenty of shopping here too. Some of the stores that have a home on Lollygagger Lane are Nanji+ ,Pounds Pharmacy, Devo, Ewww and Tooter Claxton's avatar shop where you can get this nifty chicken av you here in the pics with me on the scooter. There are many unique stores and items, be sure to check it all out. May take more than one trip. There is an offical freebie area here also.

So many things to see and do. If I wrote about all the stuff I like about this place I would not be done for a while. Also anytime you come any number of colorful locals may be about. Like Baltoro Haystack who works at the newstand and local regular paramparamm Papp who made the bufferflies here and also has a vendor for them. You may even see Eolene Uralia and
Raskolnikow Roffo, 2 of the main builders here.

There is also a monthly noob auction here which the proceeds from this months will help to fund a rl wedding, and there is a donation box in the living room that will be there til 30 may for wedding fund if you feel inclined to donate and don't want the responsibilties that come with taking on a noob. Speaking of the Auction is on the 24th of May at 1pm slt but you can come and start browsing at 12 noon slt that day. You can buy or be bought. This is a wonderful place to explore that is ever changing and fun everytime I go. Don't miss a chance to see something truely unique in sl. Too many great things to mention you have to experience it for yourself. What are you waiting for? I may see you there...

The Nameless Isle

Recently I was introduced to an incredible sim called The Nameless Isle. The brainchild of owner Baron Grayson it was formally the Sanctum Sanctorum sim, the name was changed to The Nameless Isle when the sim was moved to open sea in 2008.
After developing a theme for the Isle that he calles Unseelie, he set to work removing all builds from ground level. For the benefit of those that learn to build while watching others he has left the sim open to the public throughout the development of this breathtaking sim.Starting with a clean slate, he began to experiment with lighting and teraforming the land, the first steps to developing the forest and tunnels that will connect the various areas of the sim that he refers to as "Scenes". Along with his best friend Keith Extraordinaire who also owns a sim, ideas of themes that would merge the 2 sims together to tell a story was thrown around. Complete with costumes and hidden group scenes found only by questing and acquiring items to allow entry. So many possibilites. However sadly I recently recieved word that it is possible that this beautiful place will disappear from sl. Baron Grayson has been largely absent from sl since Dec 08 and it is said that he will be putting the sim up for sale and this place will be no more. So be sure to visit this place while you can. On the ocassions that I have been there I have seen come interesting things so I share a few of the snapshots that I got here ... enjoy! Photo Credits... Silvanus- DreamWorld SE

I decided that there were too many cool places to see in sl and not blog on those too so I started this. The first time I put out a call to the people I know for cool places to go. This was one of the first places that was offered up to me. Silvanus means of the woods and was also the name of the roman god of the forest. This was formerly Bettina Tizzy's Chakryn Forest and Treehouse. From what I understand she was not able to keep it up and for a time it looked like sl was about to loose a real treasure. Enter Kirk Nabob whose love for this amazing sim drove him to take it over and preserve it for all to enjoy. It is a beautiful forest with many nice spots to reflect on things and get away from all the craziness in any life.

The treehouse is one of the great fixtures of this place. It is huge and mostly empty but the views from here are amazing. Upstairs there is a nice place you can chill out or even play the piano, alone or with a friend.

Another great and totally unique spot that this place boast is an interactive painting where you can die like Marat in the famous painting by Jacques-Louis David. This was a project by AM Radio who by the way is responsible for many great builds and places that you will no doubt see here at sometime. He recreated this painting and put in a pose ball so that anyone can take part in that tragic scene again. When it as discovered that it was just sitting somewhere on a platform Bettina Tizzy, former owner of the forest and founder of the Not Possible in Real Life art group, decided that the forest would be a great home for this hidden masterpiece.

There is a little gully with a glowing willow and a hidden cave with glowing purple crystals. Also nestled through out the park are little places to talk and spend time with friends and loved ones. My words really cannot do this place justice. Best to come and see it for yourself. While I was at this park pondering on the pics I would have I ran into Scramp Wingtips, who had a fantastic av and was willing to pose for me.. thanks. Maybe I will see you there sometime too!! Faya Sound System

I stumbled upon this place one day and the people were so friendly that I decided to stick around.If you like Dancehall, Reggae, Ragga, Soca, Afrikan Music, Zouk, or Musique Africaine, then Faya Sound System is the place for you. When I was here mistigri Teatime was djing and we had a ball. I danced for hours and always have a ball when I go there. Lynna Jameson is the owner and now my friend, she has fantastic dances and always knows how to make you feel at home. If you are not in the mood to dance there is a nice area in the club to have a seat and chill with your buddies. Although the club is now open air if you prefer to be outside there is a beach area with a fire where you can spend time with someone special or you can opt to sit on the pier over looking the water. If you would like to have some cool reggae posters or other cool items there is a small shopping area for your shopping enjoyment. If you would like to be sure to stay abreast of all the fun things happening here join the Faya Sound System group.

FLASHMOB: Fashion Con Cafe @SL5B Cake!!

I am a member of the Fashion Consolidated Cafe and have been for sometime. There are many in this group that have shared in some of the most notable conversations I have ever had. If you are in this group then you know what I mean!! That being said sometimes I have the opportunity to bump into or meet up with some of my Fashcon
Cafe fam. Sat morning it was a late night as it was after 1am here got the call for a flash mob at the SL5B cake. All the usual suspects were there, Curvaceous Loon and Teena Basevi just to name a couple. Fun and merriment abound. This cake was huge. See the little stuff on top? Thats not sprinkles, well not the kind you are used to... they are FashCon sprinkles. Check out these cool pictures. Also from what I understand there are many festivities associated with SL5B (second life 5th birthday) that will be going on until July 7th or if I am not mistaken. So if you have a chance should check some of them out . Here are some pictures of all this HAWTNESS, Don' Hate!!......
